MOVING NEW MEXICO FORWARD

Established in 2022, the Community Empowerment Fund is a 501 c(4) social welfare organization with one primary mission – to promote policies and initiatives that advance the interests of public charter schools and school choice in New Mexico.

The Community Empowerment Fund is working to raise awareness of and advocate for smart policy that recognizes the value of public charter education and its role in improving education in New Mexico. We support the more than 30,000 students currently in over 100 New Mexico public charter schools and we promote community leaders and policy makers who believe in a family’s right to school choice.

TIME IS NOT ON OUR SIDE

We must actively explore continued economic diversification, drive increased job growth, and demand reforms to our tax structure. The next two years will be pivotal for the future of New Mexico. To restart our economy, it’s imperative that we address educational gaps created by the pandemic and charter schools are critical to this effort.

We are working to achieve this through advocacy, advancement of sound policies and voter education – unifying diverse, bipartisan voices and directing our elected leaders to recognize that public charter schools are a critical part of moving New Mexico forward.
